Welcome to HijamaFlow

A few years ago my wife found the opportunity to start her practice in Amsterdam. She had only finished her course a few months before. I was very excited for her because not only was she able to help others finding treatment, but she also had the opportunity to work on her own terms. Meaning when she wanted to and when it fitted her schedule.

What she did not expect was that her schedule would become extremely tight. She had a couple of patients forwarded to her from a retired practitioner, forcing her to coordinate every single appointment individually via WhatsApp. She had originally calculated that working just the Sunnah days would only take three days of her month, but the sheer volume of planning, rescheduling, and back-and-forth messaging caused that time commitment to multiply, turning a few days of treatment into weeks of logistical headaches.

Phone Usage

That was the turning point. There must be a better way to deal with this. Being a software engineer, I decided to help my wife setting up a system that manages appointment booking, cancellations and reminders to reduce no-shows. The change was immediate. The "WhatsApp fatigue" vanished. Patients booked their own slots, received automated reminders about all the pre-appointment preperations, and those admin hours went to near zero.

We finally got around to building it properly, not just for her, but for everyone who wants to stop spending time on admin work and start focusing on their hijama practice.
